Hello ! My name is Paul i am owner/director of Paul Harcourt Driving School.
I have all ways been very interested in road safety since i passed my Cycling Proficiency Test sad i know but true.
I started saving for a car when i was 14,i coundn't wait untill i could start to learn to drive,I passed my driving test in 1981.
I have driving professionally since 1982 when i worked for the Post Office in the same year i was awarded a Dipolma FIRST from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
In 1987 i trained to be a bus driver and passed my Automatic Bus Licence and began working for London Regional Transport Driving in and out of Heathrow Airport.
In 1992 i recieved a Personal Defensive Driving Certificate awarded from London Buses.
In the same year i began my training to become a Approvied Driving Instructor i qualified as Depatment of Transport Approved Driving Instructor in 1994.
In 1996 we relocated to Kilmarnock,i passed my manual bus licence in Kilmarnock the same year.
In 1998 and 2005 i was awarded the highest grade in the Test of Continued Ability and Fitness to Give Instruction.
In 2000 i took and passed the DIAmond Advanced Motorists Test,
During the same year i began my training to become a Offical Registered Driving Instructor Trainer and Qualified in 2001.
I remained on the O.R.D.I.T Register untill 2009.
In 2003 i was awarded Scottish Qualifications Authority Certificate in Training Practise.
I also volunteered for Kerbcraft a road safety infinitive for primary school children from primary 2 to primary 3.
In 2012 I attended a One Day Course in Coaching Skills for Driving Instructor.
In 2014 i attended a Check Test to Standards Check Conversion Course,later that year i attended a one day training course
