About driving instructor: I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) (Grade 5*) based in Barnsley and I adhere to the voluntary code of conduct outlined by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). I hold a GREEN ADI badge not a PINK TRAINEE ADI badge, as I have completed all aspects of driving instructor training. I chose to be a driving instructor to get the satisfaction of knowing I’ve helped someone else to pass their driving test and become a safe driver. I passed my driving test just after I turned 17 and since then I have also obtained licences to drive HGV ©, PCV, MOTORCYCLE and passed my Diamond Advanced DRIVING TEST, becoming a member of the MASTER DRIVERS CLUB. I was fortunate to do my ADI training with LDC who use the latest adult coaching and training techniques so you can be assured the training I give will be of the highest standard. Testament to this is the fact that I passed my recent check test (regular tests of the standard of tuition being provided) with flying colours. All of my lessons are conducted in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner making the learning process so much more enjoyable, no one wants to be shouted at when they are learning to drive. The lessons are provided in the Barnsley area, covering areas you will come across in your driving test. All lessons are on a one to one basis unless you would like someone to sit in on a lesson. You have paid for my time so I will never use my mobile phone during your lessons, likewise I will never “piggy back” your lessons. “Piggy backing” means that the end of your lesson would be used to pick up the next pupil, which means wasting your time and that you have someone else sat in on the end of your lesson. *Driving instructors are regularly assessed on their ability to give safe and competent instruction to pupils and are graded from 1 to 6. Instructors graded 1-3 are deemed to be providing unsafe and/or incomplete instruction and must re-sit the test after they have completed further training. Grade 4 is the minimum level to continue teaching without further training and deems the instructor to be providing adequate tuition. Grade 5 is considered good competent instruction whilst Grade 6 is outstanding instruction.
